About Sprouting Wonder
Sprouting Wonder is a child-led learning environment for children 2 - 5 years old. We believe in letting children learn through play, which is why our program is built on three key principles: Exploration, Discovery, and Play.
We are a Reggio Emilia inspired program which encourages a child-centered approach, where topics are organically sourced from the children's interests and are open-ended. This style of learning focuses on the freedom to express and explore ideas using movement, active listening, and hands-on activities. In addition, we place a strong focus on Social Emotional Learning, giving children the tools to manage their feelings and navigate social interactions.
Our founder, Christine Beyerbach is a New York State certified teacher and worked as a School Counselor at the Elementary and Middle School level for over 7 years before opening Sprouting Wonder. She has over 15 years experience working in Early Childhood Education. Christine strongly believes in the importance of social emotional learning at a young age, which is why she decided to shift her focus back to early childhood to take a more proactive approach to building children’s social and emotional competence.
